Inspiration is sometimes anonymous

Do not doubt that though you cannot see, someone, somewhere, is inspired by your light.
When you hesitate to share what you have to offer, remember that even one person's life may be influenced, inspired, perhaps even radically changed for the better because of your generosity.

rejoice.

too often we allow ourselves to be bogged down in the day-to-day stuff of life – the daily daily-ness. we wait for the special occasion or the unexpected event to lift us out of our ruts and reconnect with our joy.
every day life contains much joy, if we look for it. waking up in a comfortable bed at the beginning of a beautiful summer day. freshly brewed tea or coffee, or juice, to accompany a breakfast from the earth’s bounty. putting on clothes which are comfortable to wear, expressing our individuality. being able to move, breathe, speak, hear, taste, touch – all of these amazing abilities, experiences, and opportunities which we muddle through in a haze and a hurry, somehow missing out on the amazing abundance of joy and contentment available. all we need to do is to pay attention.

“but”, I hear you say, “but my life is terrible. i’m broke / unemployed / sick / stressed. I hate my job / house / roommate.” life is never going to be perfect. the sooner you accept that, the sooner you’ll be able to get on with what is really important. there will always be bumps, obstacles, unexpected events, and tragedies. You can’t do anything about that – it’s how the universe works.
however, you can start each day with an attitude of joy, and gratitude, no matter your circumstances. if nothing else, you have before you one whole day – 24 hours – in which to live, love, laugh, learn. Starting from a place of joy instead of a place of dread won’t change the external events of the day, but it will help you deal with whatever happens from a position of stability and strength.
joy comes from within. you can be joyful, even in negative circumstances. feel joy, be joy, share joy today.

stop the speediness

reaction. jumping to conclusions. acting out of habit.

speediness is only good if you are a formula one racer.
otherwise, it is a cause for craziness, a distraction from the truth.
habitual patterns be gone!

oh, so stubborn, those patterns, they are.

patience and kindness and non-judgement is the only grace needed now.
like the wave on the water, life changes, moment to moment, then the moment's gone.
good. bad. however you label whatever it is that trips you up and brings you down.

time for a lift. time for a break.

inch by inch...forward, back, sideways.

all part of the path that brings us closer to the life we long for.
the place where soul meets self. and life settles in.

the company we keep

Everything and everyone around is a reflection of ourselves. They are a mirror of our life, our perceptions, our desires, our fears.
We may be inspired or exhausted, lifted up or put down.
it is not about you- it is about the company you keep.

I choose to surround myself with advocates: adventurous, loving, bold, gentle, honest, inspiring.
Sacred circles, I call them. I invite the trusted in, or they invite me in an, together, we share our advocacy for each other.
Business, friendship, women, spiritual, relationship, family.

We can only become what we can imagine.
Time to create a dream circle of ideas and inspiration.

Where will you find your place? Who will you invite into your circle?
There is no time like the present to become who you were meant to be.

Make your moments meaningful. Be mindful of the company you keep.
