getting clear

that is when you give it one more chance,
then see.

if fog lifts and the sun shines, then you know
it was worth the trek

but if it feels like you are constantly wading through muck as thick as lies
then, its time to say your goodbyes.

wanting to see the good in it all

but, sometimes, I just can't ignore what's tugging at me
deep in the pit of my stomach, lodged in the back of my throat
regurgitation, aggravation, where's my salvation?
it keeps coming up, even when I try to keep it down.

it feels like something just ain't right.

that is where trust comes in.
throw a lifeline to doubt
but, at some point, either toss it in or pull it out.
you're not going save this one.

let others be, as they are
and walk away calmly,
without a fight

shedding all that is no longer needed now.

this is our dance,

she's come undone

it happens to all of us, at some time or another.
no matter how much we got our sh++t together, something, sometime, somewhere, comes undone.

we're forced to fall to pieces
we crumble into a heap
we curl into a tight-knit ball that threatens to unravel at any moment.

all things come and go, like the tide, the wind, the rain and the sun.

without getting mired, what about if we just let our Selves stay put
no expecatations to be and do anything than that which we are.

what do you REALLY desire

i am not talking "wanting"
that is for dinner choices and cool clothes shopping.
this is about digging deep into the soul to
hear what's nagging at you behind the daily distractions,
the busy schedules and the things you have to do.

this is all about the dream
yes, THE dream.
there's probably a few floating around, but then
there is something that surfaces
like gasping for fresh air after being under water for too long,
that moment before you think you are gonna die,
then you see the sky.

write it down
pin it up
shout it out

until you claim the prize
it's just a printed piece of paper on a roll

stop your busyness and sit. still. be. quiet.
give your dreams a chance to be heard
they may be whispering softly, lacking confidence and surefootness
or, they may be screaming at the top of their lungs
"for god's sake, dont you HEAR me?"

time to listen.
